The Harvard group is a relative newcomer to the BTWH network and has hosted BTWH conferences in 2004 (“Blackness”) and 2008 (“Scenes of Justice – Production of Truth”). The group’s participants frequently hail from Harvard’s graduate programs in German literature, comparative literature, history, film, and art history. Funding for the group comes from Harvard's Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures and Graduate Student Council. Alumni of the Harvard group now hold academic positions at the University of Southern Denmark, College of the Holy Cross, and the University of Missouri, among others. The Harvard contingent is excited to welcome fellow BTWH colleagues to our campus in Cambridge, MA in the spring of 2016 for the annual conference.
